Welcome to Liberty's West German Shepherds.  We are located on two-and-a-half acres just outside of the Village of Grass Lake, Michigan which is about 40 minutes west of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and an hour from the Ohio border.  We are two hours away from Shipshewana, IN and three-and-a-half hours from Chicago, IL.  Our peaceful country setting of horses and family farms is the perfect place for our dogs and puppies to grow and develop.

All of the puppies born here are given every resource we have in order to assure that they get a solid start in life. We regard each puppy as our own until they go to their new homes. You can rest assured that your puppy is given the proper care, nutrition and affection that it deserves. Every litter is born and raised in our home alongside their parents.

Our puppies are sold with AKC registration, vaccinated according to schedule, given HeartGard (heartworm, intestinal parasites), NexGard (fleas and ticks), and come with a two-year guarantee.

Our breeding focuses on West German lines whose pedigrees are titled in World Seiger Champions, IPO and Kkl to name a few. We also breed for correct bone structure, temperament and trainability. Their coloring is either solid black or red and black.  All of our dogs are DM tested as well.  We strive to breed dogs who have either "Good" or "Excellent" hips and "Normal" elbows rated so by the OFA or the SV in Germany.

*Please note that our deposits are not refundable but are transferable to another litter.  Due to a high level of interest in our puppies, we advise that you place a deposit only if you know you want a puppy from us and are willing to wait for a future litter.  If there is a puppy available, then those on the list for a future litter who have already placed a deposit will be offered a puppy first.  In other words, depositors will have first priority in the order that deposits are received.

We accept cash, Zelle, and also credit/debit cards through the PayPal link on our Current Litter page. You do not need a PayPal account to use our link.

Please be aware that PayPal charges a fee for using their service.

PayPal takes this fee from us before they make your deposit available to us. When placing a deposit through PayPal, the amount that you will see in the payment window will be $1036.

If you prefer not to use PayPal and wish to avoid processing fees, we also accept Zelle payments. It is a very simple and very secure payment process, as this transaction is handled as a direct transfer from your bank account to Liberty's West German Shepherds via our email address.

If your bank does not participate with Zelle payments, you can still use Zelle by downloading the Zelle app and using our email address to make your payment. There is absolutey no fee for this service.
